PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF LARRY W. ALLRED, JR.

Larry was born in Hartselle, Alabama in 1965. His parents carried him to church as a young boy and at the age of 6 he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior during Junior Church at the Moulton Heights Baptist Church. He was baptized soon after . However, there was very little spiritual growth in his life until his High School years when he earnestly began to pray that God would use his life for His service.

Larry graduated from the Austin High School in 1983 and decided on a career in Electronics. He attended RETS Electronic Institute, in Birmingham, AL where, in 1985, he received an Associates degree and then began working at Intergraph Corporation in Huntsville, Al. Soon after beginning this job, he married Tammy Densmore, and they began attending the Moulton Heights Baptist Church, where Larry was saved as a young boy. This move proved to be the turning point in their spiritual growth. After being at the church only a few months, Larry and Tammy went on a mission trip to Veracruz, Mexico. It was during this trip that Larry surrendered his life entirely to the calling of the Lord. As soon as he got back home, he began preparation for his future life on the mission field.

The Lord opened up many opportunities for practical experience in the ministry over the course of the next 10 years in addition to his preparations through Bible college through correspondence. One of the opportunities that God gave him was a new job at the GE plant in Decatur, AL. This opened up many areas of ministry for Larry as he had contact with the employees of the entire company. Larry used his free time at work for witnessing to people and discipling people in the Word of God. Even now, the ones whom he won to the Lord there are continuing the work of the ministry in their local churches as well as on their mission field at GE.

Other opportunities included: working in the children's ministries of the church, including Awanas, Sunday School classes, and Jr. Church; he also served as the children's church pastor for approximately 7 years, bus captain, deacon, adult SS teacher, sang in the choir, participated in the church visitation program, discipled many young men, and took advantage of every leadership course offered.

After the preparations were completed, he moved off, with his family, to the mission field.
